I%26#039;m under 18 so I can%26#039;t find a credit card company that will give me a credit card. I can%26#039;t get one through my parents because they have bad credit, so I have to get one myself. I don%26#039;t know what to do! Is there any other way to establish good credit besides paying off a credit card? Or are there any credit card companies that will offer cards to those under 18?

In the US if you have a legal Declaration of Emancipation you can sign a contract before age 18.
No declaration means no power to sign a contract.

Have a parent put you on a credit card as an additional user.|||Try getting a department store credit card. There isn%26#039;t a charge for them either unlike some major credit cards. That%26#039;s how I started out (JcPenney%26#039;s was my first card) and I was 16 or 17 when I got mine. From there, I was able to get a gas credit card (though those are harder to find these days) and then a major credit card. Just be careful when you do get a card. When you use it, make sure you have the money to pay it off before you buy something. You are trying to establish credit, not ruin something before you even get going. Take a lesson from your parents missery...once you are 18 and you can get credit use it responsibly so that when your 16 year old comes to you and wants to get a credit card he can get it under your name AND you can teach him how to use it responsibly!|||You might have wait untill you are 18, but check over here to apply, get information, there student cards that might work.
