Fortunately our economy has expanded, changed and grown since then, however when things cool off and if they cool off a large amount, this question could really become an issue if unemployment increases further putting downward pressure on wages.
Most likely though, there will be some changes (as yet unknown) and the economy will continue to thrive over the long term.
