Should I apply for a manager position at a cash store (i.e. Check N Go, Cash Advance, Check Into Cas

I%26#039;ve been trying to find additional work for awhile now, but I haven%26#039;t had much luck. I live in Michigan and our economy isn%26#039;t very good right now, and the county that I live in has one of the highest unemployment rates for the entire state. About the only manager jobs I%26#039;ve been able to come across are for different cash stores (Check N Go, Cash Advance, ect) and they are about 30 mins away from where I live. As far as my credentials go, I have 7 years of manager experience between 2 movie theaters as well as a Bachelor%26#039;s degree in Management.

Can anybody tell me more about these cash stores? Has anyone worked for them? Could you explain what the job tasks would be for a manager position? What would a manager at these stores do if they needed to collect money from people who haven%26#039;t pay? Is this a good business to work for or should I just look for a job in one of the big cities that%26#039;s an hours drive away?

I have never worked for any cash store or anything, but i would like to suggest that you apply anyways. It wouldnt hurt, and normally people who interview are more than happy to answer such questions. it may open up some doors for you.

You need to keep driving and look for an actual manager%26#039;s position - those stores that say they are looking for a %26quot;manager%26quot; really just want another cashier. They wont pay you enough (considering your education) and commuting isnt that bad - I drive 50 miles one way to work so I can get a decent paycheck. Dont sell yourself short and apply for these jobs - they wont help you on your resume, in fact, they may actually do the opposite.|||If it is me, I wouldn%26#039;t consider any position for a cash store. These stores are often prime target for crimes whether in the store or parking lots. I wouldn%26#039;t want to be worried every time I go to work.

With the holiday season coming, there are a lot of opportunities in retail ans services. Or you might consider seasonable work for tax preparation at one of the chain tax prep offices. They are always looking for people, and you will have opportunities to work off-season as well.

Best wishes.
