3. Hitler was a soldier who fought for Germany when they gave in. He found this humiliating and along with a lot of other Germans wanted a return to power and glory. The depression fuelled this and he managed to rise to power and then take control of germany. The army pledged their allegiance directly to Hitler, so he became dictator.
