Over the last few days, many protests have been going go about mexican citizenship. The real issue is why does it take so long for U.S. immigration to either grant visas to, not just these folks, but others immigrants as well. We need to give them citizenship or get them back home. The increase in medical costs to the uninsured, the unpaid taxes and the increase in unemployment rates and unreprimanded crimes leaves us with a very serious issue for our future and those of our children.

Illegals draw welfare by stealing people%26#039;s social security numbers and identities. That means there are a lot of people being directly hurt by these people as well. Innocent people are having their credit ratings ruined, having IRS problems, and social security problems. If someone who has had their social security number stolen gets married, if either spouse dies or become disabled then they can be denied their benefits.

My family moved to the US before WWII. Those of my family that didn%26#039;t make it over got killed by the death camps. Our family assimilated to the American culture. We didn%26#039;t expect the Americans to change to suit us. The illegal immigrants from Mexico are not civilized like that.

They not only changed the National Anthem to Spanish, they changed the words. They already burn our flag and hang our flag upside down. They waved the Mexican flag during a lot of their protests. Some schools have stopped hanging the American flag and forbidden students from wearing clothes with any part of the American flag on their clothing all to keep from offending the Mexicans. It%26#039;s nothing short of an attack of our country, not only by the illegal aliens, but those who seek to appease them.

I am tired of the stereotype that Americans wouldn%26#039;t do the work that illegals do. Illegals do all kinds of jobs for less than minimum wage which drives the wages down for U.S. citizens. Construction jobs are an example. There are lots of illegals doing construction jobs that Americans used to do because the companies can keep more of the profits if they pay less for the workers. All that does is make companies wealthier and Americans poorer. Illegals are stealing jobs that Americans have done for years.

If you go to a country and refuse to assimilate, continuing to speak your own language then you are really not an immigrant -- you%26#039;re a colonist ... and that%26#039;s what the Mexicans are doing, they%26#039;re colonizing the American Southwest as part of their %26quot;reconquista%26quot; Read about mecha in the link I provided and you%26#039;ll see what the Mexicans real agenda is.

I am in Arizona and since 1990 our high school drop out rate has increased, teenage pregnancies are dramatically climbing, the unemployment rate is unatrocious. You know, I had to file for unemployment and thankfully it only lasted a month or so and I was able to land a good job. You know, when I was in the DES office, the majority of the people getting WIC and food stamps and so on and so forth did NOT SPEAK ENGLISH!!! That%26#039;s just not fair. I can back myself up on that because my fiancee lives in Peru , he will be here on a visa in March berfore he was able to come , he had to learn english and get a background check and a health screen.

Our crime rates are climbing too, the drug trafficking is increasing and it%26#039;s just a living nightmare.

Yeah, come to our country, but do it the correct way!@|||one of the reasons it takes so long to get a visa is because not every country of origin is very cooperative when we request information concerning criminal back ground checks. another reason is because thousands of request for visas are submitted every day. as for the reason they aren%26#039;t sent home, they are shielded by big businesses that put profits ahead of the law.|||I think you already brought up some great issues about the impacts of the presence of illegal immigrants. I can only add that US economy actually do need extra workforce from these illegal people but only in certain sector. US farm sector is in dire need of man power. We need to make it easier for legal immigrants to come and more difficult for illegals to come|||I agree with you.|||Immigration does need repaired. I have nothing against LEGAL immigration, that%26#039;s how our country grew so great and flourished, true diversity gave us strength. But, if you don%26#039;t like a law, change it, don%26#039;t break it.

This country doesn%26#039;t give free medical care to my family, no automatic in-state tuition wherever I want to send my kids, automatic social security and welfare. Why should we bend over backwards to help someone breaking the law?
