I am doing better now financially and in more personal aspects of my life such as relationships since bankruptcy. I still have some credit cards and have been doing well with them. I never make late payments, don%26#039;t charge too much on them, max them out etc. I get lots of credit offers in the mail, but I don%26#039;t respond to any of them. I have a visa and mastercard so I figure that it is cautious for me to stick with those two alone. I have some student loans but I am not paying those until I graduate college. I graduate this fall, thank goodness.
Since 2005 I have been able to save up a lot of money. I also met a new significant other and we have talking about getting engaged! I%26#039;m so happy. I am extremely concerned about how my bad credit is going to affect him in the future. So, my dedication to improving my credit is not just for me, it is for his sake. Last time I checked my credit score was around 630, but I would like to improve it as much as possible!
Thanks for reading.

I am not a spammer or an employee or whatever of this company, but check out www.creditbuilders.com. Click on Forums. Then click on the CREDIT REPAIR tab. There is MANY people on the forum who need some help in this area and A LOT of people have gotten a bankruptcy removed. I read a little on it, but never had one so I never got into it a lot. But they will answer all questions you have and are really great people. I know it can be removed and when done, it will definently be worth the long endevor it takes. Off of the top of my head, some had thiers removed in 6 month while others 1- 1.5 years and some had to pay $250-$1,000 to have it completed, but everyone who had it removed said it was all worth it in saving finance charges and no longer getting declined. I really hope this helps and good luck!!

630 is not bad for only 2 years post bankruptcy...there is really not anymore you can do to improve your score...
You are right to be concerned as to how your credit will affect him...it will not affect him directly, it may however affect him indirectly.
If you were to let your credit slide again...if you have joint accounts his credit will be negativly affected. If you continue to have bad credit in the future, will you expect him to shoulder all of the credit responsibilities...will he have to put the cars and the house and all the cards in his name because you don%26#039;t qualify? This will drastically bring his score down...this is why it is important for you to use credit responsibly from now on.
I recomend not opening joint credit in forms of credit cards (not even authorized users, because in some cases authorized users can be held responsible for bad debts)...this way you have yours and he has his and you are both covered. The only debt you should share is a mortgage when you are ready. In a few years if you need a newer car your credit should be good enough to buy one without his name if you keep maintaining what you are doing.
Also, just because your student loans are not due, does not mean you shouldn%26#039;t be paying them...if you pay them down now, it is less to pay later...you say you are saving, you should be paying down debt 1st. Cut what you are saving in half and pay half on the debt and half into savings...this way when the debt comes due you will have less to pay and therefor you will owe less in interest.|||Aim for the following 3 major goals while repairing credit:
1. Make a commitment to pay the bills within the due date always. Also ensure you do not carry forward any balance on the credit cards each month.
2. Open a savings account and go on saving regularly. This acts as a protective shield if you face any financial crisis.
3. Plan and adhere to a manageable budget. You can get many such ideas and tips on proper budgeting on the Internet.|||Lots of people think that once they鈥檝e filed for bankruptcy they will be unable to ever get a loan again, and ultimately they are unable to do anything financial ever again.
