Credit Ratings??

My credit ratings were bad about twelve months ago but I was offered a credit card by GE Money. If I accept this card and keep my payments in top order will this restore confidence in lenders in the future?

But becareful b/c they could screw you again. Look at the APR and the fees.

I would apply for a Target credit card or something easy, then pay it off every paycheck - that will also make your credit better. Or get a Shell gas card and do the same thing.

Just make sure you make small purchases at first, til you get the %26quot;hang of it%26quot; and pay it off every month. Then try and get a bigger limit credit card and go from there.

I recommend against GE. I had problems with them not closing accounts, even after they acknowledged that I owed them no money. Even after they acknowledged that I owed them no money and I told them to close the accounts, they still kept the accounts open.
