Why doesn't Bush just offer guaranteed acceptance credit cards instead of giving away money tha

Isn%26#039;t the stimulus package that he%26#039;s urging everybody to accept as fast as they can even stupider than the one he gave out that ate up part of the surplus before?

Since it%26#039;s all based on borrowed money, why not have everybody who gets it be held responsible for paying it back by making it government issued credit cards with something like say.... an $800 dollar limit? This way, it won%26#039;t be forcing future generations of children to pay it back. They%26#039;re not getting the money anyway. Does this sound more fair?

Because he does not care that he is bankrupting America like he did the oil companies he ran. Just borrow more money put us deeper in debt to the Chinese and Japanese. And republicans cry that taxes may have to be raised how do they think the national debt bush has put us in will be payed for?

Be better for a government buyout of housing which could then be sold to low income families. As the market recovers some of those government owned houses might increase in value. The Government could help people who are in trouble and invest in an asset that could payoff in the future or at least be used to provide a need for the public. It would put a lot of money into the economy and we might get some of it back.

Credit card debt..Being sued.?

I was contacted by Zwinger and asso. stating amex has hired them to sue me for the full balance of my debt. Which now comes to about $9100.00. The account fell behind in oct/07. The %26quot;attorney%26quot; who contacted me stated I must pay the full balance or i will be served with papers. He also stated if they sue me, I will have to pay all court cost, attorney fees, and interest and the judgement will stand for 20 years.

My mom has offered to loan me half the balance, and i called Amex to try and settle but before i could say anything the person stated they no longer handle my accoutn and hung up on me.

What should I do?

Having a high credit score can mean the difference of thousands of dollars of saved interest expense compared to others with a lower score. For example, if you improve credit score results from the credit bureaus, just a few points that increase your credit score can make huge difference in the interest rate you will pay for a home purchase. It pays to increase your credit score!|||Why do you have 9100.00 in credit card debt? Borrow the money from your mom and PAY YOUR BILLS !!!!! Call the people handling your account and tell them you have half and would like to make arrg. to pay the balance. Get a job if you don%26#039;t have one take responsibility for your actions!!! I%26#039;m not sure how old you are....but you%26#039;re really starting out on the wrong foot. Do you realize how hard your life will be if you have bad credit? You%26#039;ll go through life explaining your situation to everyone. SAD and pathetic!|||For starters, judgments only stay on your credit report for 7 years, not 20. It sounds like he is just one of the flunkie collection attorneys throwing around threats.

The bottom line is if you can%26#039;t come up with the settlement he wants, then it will go to court. At that time, you can file a motion with the court to order installment payments for the amount you can afford to pay.

For now, you need to send this guy a demand to validate the debt. Be sure he is not padding this bill with a lot of illegal collection fees and interest.

Note that yes, you do pay court costs and %26quot;reasonable%26quot; attorney fees, you need to make sure this fool isn%26#039;t charging $250 an hour. The court already sets a fee they can charge, but you need to be sure he doesn%26#039;t pad it.|||Do not file for bankruptcy..try contacting any other debt consolidation company. I know one which is trustworthy http://ezconsolidation.com they had helped me when i had faced debt problem a few years back

Try to consolidate your debt ASAP. As more you delay more it will affect your credit score.|||Hi,

Any suggestions on ways to boast my credit score?

Over the past 2 years or so, I have taken great strides in improving my credit score. Today, all the bad credit in the report is paid in full! But as we all know they stay on there for 5-7 years.I have a credit card and a couple loans that are good as well. I guess what i%26#039;m after is ways to improve my credit score some more. Another credit card maybe? All the offers I get require an annual fee, which i%26#039;m not to big on. But the offers seem to get better and better as time goes on. Any suggestions?

Well, first I want to tell you congratulations on getting all your bad credit paid off! I%26#039;m sure that it feels like a ton of weight lifted off your back. Now, you%26#039;re wanting to know what you should do to get back on track. First, I think it%26#039;s important that you know what makes up your score:

1. Payment history- 35%

2. Total debt owed to available credit ratio-30%

3. Length of time establishing credit-15%

4. Types of credit established-10%

5. Inquiries and New accounts-10%

For the most part, it%26#039;s going to take some consecutive on-time payments to help your score, at least 2 years worth. You%26#039;re already on your way with the credit card and the loans. One thing you can do to help yourself is to keep the balance below 30% of your available credit, or paid off to 0. Don%26#039;t believe the hype that you have to keep a balance every month. I work in the credit card industry and I can tell you that%26#039;s bull. You could charge $20, and as long as you pay that $20 off when it%26#039;s due, is what really matters.

If you%26#039;re going to open another credit card, my suggestion would be to open a secured card. They%26#039;re much easier to get than regular credit cards, because a collateral deposit%26#039;s required upfront in order to determine the credit line. For example, you deposit $300, your credit line is $300. The deposit is sometimes linked to a savings account or CD, which can gain interest while you%26#039;re building credit, so the deposit isn%26#039;t just sitting there. Also, this is your chance to %26quot;custom build%26quot; a higher limit credit card and create a startup emergency fund for later on. Usually after a year of paying on time, the card%26#039;s upgraded to a regular card and more importantly, the deposit is given back since it wouldn%26#039;t be needed anymore. You can use this to start up an emergency fund.

An example of a good mixture of credit is 5 open accounts (3 CCs and 2 loans). Don%26#039;t take on anymore debt than you have to. Remember, it will take some time, so be patient.

One more thing I%26#039;ll mention is that you can report rent, utilties, insurance, cellphone and other bills that don%26#039;t show on your credit with PRBC, which is an alternative credit bureau. PRBC and Fair Issac, the maker of the FICO score has created a new way for people that don%26#039;t have credit from credit cards and loans to build credit from paying the bills that I mentioned, called the FICO? Expansion Score

Here%26#039;s a link that explains it and PRBC more in detail

So, you have some information to point you out on the right path, just keep up the good work and good luck!

Any suggestions on ways to boast my credit score?

loan

The most important thing that will help you is simply time - keep up the payments on your current loans and the impact of the %26quot;old stuff%26quot; will gradually decline. There%26#039;s no quick way to %26quot;boost%26quot; things. They want to see long-term stability.|||Make sure that you never charge more than 30% of you available credit balance. Even if you paid you cards off every month your highest credit amount will be what is reported. If you have a small credit limit then ask your credit card to raise it first. Then, if need be, apply for another card.

Other then that, time will improve your credit score.|||If you aren%26#039;t ready to boast about your credit score then you can do a few things to boost it. You write letters to the three main companies and ask them to note that you have paid off your old debt. It sounds like you have enough ongoing loans to keep your ongoing good work noteable. Buying a house is an excellent way to improve your credit score and if that is what one of the loans is then you should be in fairly good shape.

It is interesting that the major credit reporting agencies haven%26#039;t updated their method of doing business in all these years. In this fast paced techno world with the myriad of changes that take place puts them at a snails pace of keeping up with how peoples lives change and the turn around that can take place just because someone decides to improve their credit score.

Keep up the good work and before you know it you will have an improved credit score; something you can boast about.|||The best credit ratings I have seen usually have two or three credit cards with very low balances on them and two or three loans that have been paid consistently on time. Revolving credit like credit cards is important because it shows that you are responsible with your credit. If you have a thousand dollar limit but only charge one hundred on it it shows that you could be using the money but you are responsible enough to have restraint.

And the most important (and frustrating) thing is time. It takes a long time to rebuild negative credit, but it%26#039;s well worth the time and effort.|||Thinking of ways to boost credit score is not that hard as some people would imagine. Having a good credit score is so important in a persons life. Applying for loans and credit cards would be a breeze for those who have very good credit score. If you already have a good%26lt;!--credit score, you will want to boost it in order to obtain the best loan and credit card deals possible. For example, if you have a credit score of 688 and the loan company will reduce interest rate if you get a credit score of 690.

The two points can mean thousands of dollars in savings from paying interest. This is why it is very important for you to improve your credit score even if you already have a good credit score. It will mean lower interest rates and also more chances of getting the loans you need. There are several--%26gt;ways on how you can significantly improve your credit score. Some ways takes time to achieve and some takes only a few weeks or even a few days to do. However, if you start working on it as soon as possible, you will see that it will be worth all the effort.
